13 그 때에 사람들이 예수께서 안수하고 기도해 주심을 바라고 어린 아이들을 데리고 오매 제자들이 꾸짖거늘
Then little children were brought to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked those who brought them.

14 예수께서 이르시되 어린 아이들을 용납하고 내게 오는 것을 금하지 말라 천국이 이런 사람의 것이니라 하시고
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

15 그들에게 안수하시고 거기를 떠나시니라
When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there.

16 어떤 사람이 주께 와서 이르되 선생님이여 내가 무슨 선한 일을 하여야 영생을 얻으리이까
Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, "Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?"

17 예수께서 이르시되 어찌하여 선한 일을 내게 묻느냐 선한 이는 오직 한 분이시니라 네가 생명에 들어 가려면 계명들을 지키라
"Why do you ask me about what is good?" Jesus replied. "There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments."

18 이르되 어느 계명이오니이까 예수께서 이르시되 살인하지 말라, 간음하지 말라, 도둑질하지 말라, 거짓 증언 하지 말라,
"Which ones?" the man inquired.Jesus replied, " "Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony,

19 네 부모를 공경하라, 네 이웃을 네 자신과 같이 사랑하라 하신 것이니라
honor your father and mother,"and "love your neighbor as yourself." "

20 그 청년이 이르되 이 모든 것을 내가 지키었사온대 아직도 무엇이 부족하니이까
"All these I have kept," the young man said. "What do I still lack?"

21 예수께서 이르시되 네가 온전하고자 할진대 가서 네 소유를 팔아 가난한 자들에게 주라 그리하면 하늘에서 보화가 네게 있으리라 그리고 와서 나를 따르라 하시니
Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

22 그 청년이 재물이 많으므로 이 말씀을 듣고 근심하며 가니라
When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth.

■ 내용관찰
예수님이 어린아이들을 금하지 말라고 하신 이유는 무엇입니까?(13~14절)

부자 청년이 예수님께 구한 것은 무엇이며, 예수님은 뭐라고 대답하십니까?(16~ 21절)

■ 연구와 묵상
영생에 대한 부자 청년의 오해를 ‘천국은 어린아이 같은 사람의 것’(14절)이라는 말씀에 비추어 묵상해 봅시다.

■ 느낀 점
선한 일을 행함으로 천국을 소유하려는 부자 청년에게서 무엇을 느낍니까?

■ 결단과 적용
내 공로나 자격을 셈하고 있기 때문에 아직 구원의 확신이 없는 것은 아닙니까? 내가 주님보다 더 단단히 붙잡고 있는 것은 무엇입니까? 내 손에 쥐고 있는 것(돈, 명예, 자녀 등)을 내려놓고 주님만을 붙들기로 결단합시다.
