1 ¾ß°öÀÌ °¡³ª¾È ¶¥ °ð ±×ÀÇ ¾Æ¹öÁö°¡ °Å·ùÇÏ´ø ¶¥¿¡ °ÅÁÖÇÏ¿´À¸´Ï Jacob lived in the land where his father had stayed, the land of Canaan.
2 ¾ß°öÀÇ Á·º¸´Â ÀÌ·¯Çϴ϶ó ¿ä¼ÁÀÌ ½ÊÄ¥ ¼¼ÀÇ ¼Ò³âÀ¸·Î¼ ±×ÀÇ Çüµé°ú ÇÔ²² ¾çÀ» Ä¥ ¶§¿¡ ±×ÀÇ ¾Æ¹öÁöÀÇ ¾Æ³»µé ºôÇÏ¿Í ½Ç¹ÙÀÇ ¾Æµéµé°ú ´õºÒ¾î ÇÔ²² ÀÖ¾ú´õ´Ï ±×°¡ ±×µéÀÇ À߸øÀ» ¾Æ¹öÁö¿¡°Ô ¸»ÇÏ´õ¶ó This is the account of Jacob. Joseph, a young man of seventeen, was tending the flocks with his brothers, the sons of Bilhah and the sons of Zilpah, his father"s wives, and he brought their father a bad report about them.
5 ¿ä¼ÁÀÌ ²ÞÀ» ²Ù°í ÀÚ±â Çüµé¿¡°Ô ¸»Çϸб׵éÀÌ ±×¸¦ ´õ¿í ¹Ì¿öÇÏ¿´´õ¶ó Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more.
6 ¿ä¼ÁÀÌ ±×µé¿¡°Ô À̸£µÇ ûÇÏ°Ç´ë ³»°¡ ²Û ²ÞÀ» µéÀ¸½Ã¿À He said to them, "Listen to this dream I had:
7 ¿ì¸®°¡ ¹ç¿¡¼ °î½Ä ´ÜÀ» ¹´õ´Ï ³» ´ÜÀº ÀÏ¾î¼°í ´ç½ÅµéÀÇ ´ÜÀº ³» ´ÜÀ» µÑ·¯¼¼ ÀýÇÏ´õÀÌ´Ù We were binding sheaves of grain out in the field when suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around mine and bowed down to it."
8 ±×ÀÇ ÇüµéÀÌ ±×¿¡°Ô À̸£µÇ ³×°¡ ÂüÀ¸·Î ¿ì¸®ÀÇ ¿ÕÀÌ µÇ°Ú´À³Ä ÂüÀ¸·Î ¿ì¸®¸¦ ´Ù½º¸®°Ô µÇ°Ú´À³Ä ÇÏ°í ±×ÀÇ ²Þ°ú ±×ÀÇ ¸»·Î ¸»¹Ì¾Ï¾Æ ±×¸¦ ´õ¿í ¹Ì¿öÇÏ´õ´Ï His brothers said to him, "Do you intend to reign over us? Will you actually rule us?" And they hated him all the more because of his dream and what he had said.
10 ±×°¡ ±×ÀÇ ²ÞÀ» ¾Æ¹öÁö¿Í Çüµé¿¡°Ô ¸»ÇϸŠ¾Æ¹öÁö°¡ ±×¸¦ ²Ù¢°í ±×¿¡°Ô À̸£µÇ ³×°¡ ²Û ²ÞÀÌ ¹«¾ùÀÌ³Ä ³ª¿Í ³× ¾î¸Ó´Ï¿Í ³× ÇüµéÀÌ ÂüÀ¸·Î °¡¼ ¶¥¿¡ ¾þµå·Á ³×°Ô ÀýÇϰڴÀ³Ä When he told his father as well as his brothers, his father rebuked him and said, "What is this dream you had? Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow down to the ground before you?"
11 ±×ÀÇ ÇüµéÀº ½Ã±âÇ쵂 ±×ÀÇ ¾Æ¹öÁö´Â ±× ¸»À» °£Á÷ÇØ µÎ¾ú´õ¶ó His brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept the matter in mind.
