1 바리새인과 사두개인들이 와서 예수를 시험하여 하늘로부터 오는 표적 보이기를 청하니
The Pharisees and Sadducees came to Jesus and tested him by asking him to show them a sign from heaven.

2 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 너희가 저녁에 하늘이 붉으면 날이 좋겠다 하고
He replied, "When evening comes, you say, "It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,"

3 아침에 하늘이 붉고 흐리면 오늘은 날이 궂겠다 하나니 너희가 날씨는 분별할 줄 알면서 시대의 표적은 분별할 수 없느냐
and in the morning, "Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast." You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.

4 악하고 음란한 세대가 표적을 구하나 요나의 표적 밖에는 보여 줄 표적이 없느니라 하시고 그들을 떠나 가시니라
A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a miraculous sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah." Jesus then left them and went away.

5 제자들이 건너편으로 갈새 떡 가져가기를 잊었더니
When they went across the lake, the disciples forgot to take bread.

6 예수께서 이르시되 삼가 바리새인과 사두개인들의 누룩을 주의하라 하시니
"Be careful," Jesus said to them. "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees."

7 제자들이 서로 논의하여 이르되 우리가 떡을 가져오지 아니하였도다 하거늘
They discussed this among themselves and said, "It is because we didn"t bring any bread."

8 예수께서 아시고 이르시되 믿음이 작은 자들아 어찌 떡이 없으므로 서로 논의하느냐
Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked, "You of little faith, why are you talking among yourselves about having no bread?

9 너희가 아직도 깨닫지 못하느냐 떡 다섯 개로 오천 명을 먹이고 주운 것이 몇 바구니며
Do you still not understand? Don"t you remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered?

10 떡 일곱 개로 사천 명을 먹이고 주운 것이 몇 광주리였는지를 기억하지 못하느냐
Or the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered?

11 어찌 내 말한 것이 떡에 관함이 아닌 줄을 깨닫지 못하느냐 오직 바리새인과 사두개인들의 누룩을 주의하라 하시니
How is it you don"t understand that I was not talking to you about bread? But be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees."

12 그제서야 제자들이 떡의 누룩이 아니요 바리새인과 사두개인들의 교훈을 삼가라고 말씀하신 줄을 깨달으니라
Then they understood that he was not telling them to guard against the yeast used in bread, but against the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

하늘로부터 오는 또 다른 표적을 구하는 바리새인들과 사두개인들의 문제는 무엇입니까?(1, 3절)

누룩을 주의하라는 예수님 말씀을 처음부터 깨닫지 못한 제자들의 문제는 무엇입니까? 그들은 어디에만 관심이 있었습니까? (5, 7~11절)

예수님이 악하고 음란한 세대에게 요나의 표적 밖에는 보여 줄 것이 없다고 말씀하신 이유는 무엇입니까?(4절)

예수님의 가르침 앞에서 현실적인 문제만 생각하며 염려에 사로잡힌 제자들의 모습(6~7절)을 볼 때 무엇을 느낍니까?
